The Computer-Assisted Manual Validation (CAMV) tool expedites the manual validation process for LC-MS/MS data as well as collects and summarizes quantitative information from iTRAQ or SILAC experiments. Time consuming data curation is handled automatically, presenting the user with relevant information needed to decide the quality of database peptide assignments on their individual merit. MS2 peaks attributable to predicted fragments of the assignment peptide are labeled and others are indicated as potential contamination. Once all data from an experiment have been reviewed, those of acceptable quality can be exported to publication quality PDFs and a quantitation summary document.
